Comment (by gnu):
It's particularly tough when using a MiniSD card in its SD-sized adapter
on a B2. When you push in and release to eject, the sticky rubber keeps
the SD adapter from coming out much. But the MiniSD is kept in the
adapter by slight friction and a light spring, so when you pull in the
middle of the nub that's sticking out, the MiniSD card comes out of its
adapter and out of the XO. This leaves the adapter stuck in the XO.
Without its internal miniSD for support, the adapter is fairly fragile and
easy to break in the slot (it has to have really thin walls).
MicroSD is somewhat easier, but still problematic.
Please test proposed B3 solutions against MiniSD and MicroSD cards with
adapters from several vendors. (1GB of miniSD is running US$9 to $11 at
retail now - and it triples the laptop's mass storage.)
