Comment:

 I've seen this too.  It's an occasional panic on boot right after the
 "enabling high-resolution/mfgpt timer" (I forget the phrasing) kernel
 message, with something like run_posix_timer() high in the stack trace.

 Hm.  I wonder if I could make this bug report more vague.  "And then
 everything broke!".  There.
