Got problems with one of my USB flash sticks: It was detected in OFW and I
could dir the files. copy-nand worked without indication of failure but
the resulting jffs2 system was corrupt. Firmware flashing failed.
I made sure by md5 that the data is correct on the USB flash (using Mac OS
X). I copied the data from that bad one to to a different flash drive and
updating worked without a hitch.
The failure was with one of the "my flash" sticks given by OLPC to the
UNICEF folks at J8 summit, 512 MB, www.adata.com.tw. The machine was an
original B2 (128 MB).
