 Recent changes that allow the resizing of xv video (many thanks to dcbw),
 seem to have a bug in initialization.  For example, when a gstreamer
 xvimagesink is placed into a gtk.Window, that window has to be resized
 twice to get the video to appear correctly, otherwise static, a solid
 color, or a system freeze can result.  Please see the attached file, and
 play with commenting line 62 on and off to see the bug in action.
