Comment:

 when embedded into an activity, xv and gstreamer continue to have
 intermittent display issues.  attaches is the ytest activity which shows
 the bug (and also shows some steps towards a solution: disabling double-
 buffering and attempting to set the background of the window as the
 gstreamer-chroma-key color)
