#1644: USB port 1-1 timeouts after warm boot when devices are plugged in
----------------------------------+-----------------------------------------
Reporter: JordanCrouse | Owner: wmb at firmworks.com
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone: BTest-4
Component: ofw - open firmware | Version: OFW development version
Resolution: | Keywords:
Verified: 0 |
----------------------------------+-----------------------------------------
Changes (by wmb at firmworks.com):
* owner: dilinger => wmb at firmworks.com
* version: Git as of bug date => OFW development version
* component: kernel => ofw - open firmware
Comment:
I can reproduce this sometimes in OFW - the wlan fails to enumerate
sometimes.
When it is failing, I can make it start working by resetting that USB port
by with the 0x100 bit of the EHCI PORTSC register. But pulsing the
WLAN_RESET# signal via the EC GPIO pin does not make it work.
This suggests to me that the WLAN is remaining active and the firmware
startup code is not doing enough to get its attention.
