 The driver version # from ethtool does get updated occasionally, but you
 can't be too aggressive about updating the # or every patch you send to
 linux-wireless includes a pointless bit updating the same file every
 time...  We haven't really changed how we do the version #s, but there's
 not really a good way of updating the # frequently.  Not sure what to do
 here besides asking for the OLPC kernel version and backtracking using the
 git SHA1 from there to olpc-2.6, then to which commit dilinger last pulled
 in from libertas-2.6.
