Comment:

 This bug is for the short-term hack.  I've opened bug #2516 for the "long-
 term" solution, which involves the Journal.

 danw is implementing the XO-side solution, and nelhage is implementing the
 registration code necessary to create the user accounts and directories on
 the school server.
