 Loading an icon from the gtk theme eats > 4 MB!

 I think there are caches in place to avoid this, we need to figure out why
 they are not working. Also I can't believe this is all used by our very
 small them, so it's probably the gnome-icon-theme (which we are not using
 anywhere afaik).
