 I saw no nand corruption -- or other error messages.  System was just
 chugging along and suddenly.......................................
 stopped.

 So far it has only done this to me once or twice on the same machine
 running Build 536.  See comment 8 in bug #2374; it was hanging while
 printing kernel bootup messages (long before RC scripts).  Perhaps there's
 some correlation with having something plugged into USB?
