Comment:

 Eduardo, sorry I didn't see you attached a patch here... reading trac
 mails you don't really see patches unless there is a comment (that sucks).

 I just checked in a more complete patch, which takes in account the full
 palette size also in the initial positioning (so that movement of the
 palette is minimized).

 Fixed, will be in 533.
