This ticket comes in response to the discussion on the Sugar list
regarding security and unique identification of XOs on the mesh. It seems
that one of the simplest ways to prevent spoofing requires indication
within the UI of those individuals who you know and trust. In our system,
this most closely relates to the list of friends whose keys and identity
info you have stored locally on your machine.

Additionally, it seemed consistent to me to identify these individuals
with star badges, since this is the visual design that's also used to
identify favorite access points, favorite journal entries, bookmarks in
Browse and Read, and so on. Its also a nice way to think of it, since
really the "friends" list is more of a "favorites" list in the end. They
might not necessarily be friends, but they are individuals you trust and
 want to maintain contact with.

This also has advantages if we do switch to a Home-Neighborhood-World
model for the mesh, since friends will be readily visible within the mesh
even before filtering. It also brings up the possibility of treating
"starred things" as a separate filter, independent of the Groups filter,
since favorited people actually span multiple groups.
