 xev used to be in the builds.  It is really quite tiny (dates to extremely
 early X days.

 xev is now MIA.  Without it, it can be very difficult to figure out what
 events you might expect (e.g. keyboard mapping).  Thankfully, once moved
 on the machine, it at least will run under matchbox/sugar; sugar used to
 be so hostile that you couldn't run it at all.

 And it used to be if you moved .xinitrc out of the way, old fashioned twm
 would start and you could do some serious debugging.  This is now
 broken...

 Dan, besides the immediate issues, could you please inventory the
 differences between the last fc6 based builds and the current fc7 builds
 so we can check for explicit misses like this one?
