 I've done what I can to relieve memory pressure on that part of the
 system. There is some additional work that should go into the Python API
 for Xapian that aids in the reduction of buffering data. I've been talking
 with a Xapian developer about this and if things in their current state
 don't work well enough there are more aggressive options to attempt down
 the road.
