 This is happening in 528 in a B2, B3 and B4. I managed to get a device
 with the volume capability once in the B3, but not any more.

 If I boot with the usb stick in, a device with the volume capability will
 be created and the journal recognizes it correctly.

 I think last time I saw this working consistently was during last weekend.
