Comment:

 The serial number is XO b2-1 => SHF70500168

 I'll be closing this ticket now, I think that the ribbon connection get
 loose in the base.

 Giving a slight pressure on the touchpad fixes the problem.

 I think I might need to do disassembly.  Quite difficult for me.
