 This is probably because of the way that EXA memory management changed in
 1.3.  We have two options - the correct fix (to turn the shadow buffer
 into an EXA pixmap like we do on LX - rather intensive code changes, but
 correct), or to just tell the EXA engine that we're an older driver that
 doesn't grok the new stuff (easy, but lazy).
