Comment:

I'm in agreement with the notion that a "default" toolbar should be
focused when the activity begins. The initial logic behind showing the
activity toolbar first was to encourage naming of the activities, however
I fully agree that it's both confusing and frustrating to have to switch
tabs. We should add a parameter to the toolbar API which let's an
 activity specify this.

The hope had been that the activity toolbar would only be shown when a
''new'' instance was created, that had not yet been named. Resuming an
already named instance would simply focus the default toolbar. Still, I
think even this will be an annoyance. Hopefully a child's use of the
Activity toolbar to stop the activity, which will of course reveal a
default title when it hasn't yet been named, will be enough to encourage
 naming of activity instances.

As far as ever-presence of the functions in the activity toolbar goes, I
don't think there are any design changes we can make at this point. These
features were tucked away here specifically for the purpose of providing a
consistent place for them without eating up extremely valuable screen
real-estate on such a small screen. I think that with a very short
learning curve this will become natural, and with keyboard shortcuts for
many of the functions, advanced users won't be hindered either.
