 Two days in a row I have seen my B3 mysteriously turn off. I thought it
 was another case of the battery dying without providing any notice (I know
 the battery led did not turn red in either case); I showed Jim, he removed
 and re-inserted the battery and started it again with connecting the
 adapter.

 When the laptop came up the battery showed about 80% capacity. So it
 wasn't a dead battery that caused my machine to turn off.
