 Correct:  the display and touchpad are both hardware-related, fixed in
 later hardware.

 I'm not sure I've seen the white band before, but could just be another
 facet to the display not working over suspend.  I'd like to see it
 reproduced on a B4; we obviously aren't supporting suspend/resume on the
 B2s without the hardware mods needed.
