 Sorry, I pointed to the wrong line in backingstore.py. The delay is
 happening here:

 I don't know if the datastore is actually hashing the contents or not, but
 the function _writeContent lasts 33 seconds (on a b3) when the file is a
 pdf of 35mb, so the dbus call times out.
