 I tried this at home with no other mesh nodes.  When autostart_enabled is
 0, neither the mesh interfaces _nor_ the eth0 interfaces can ping each
 other, with 169.254.x.x/16 addresses assigned to the msh0 interfaces, and
 172.16.x.x/16 addresses assigned to the eth0 interfaces.  However, when
 autostart_enabled is 1, everything works.  Again, stock build 505 on a B3
 and B4, and earlier in the office on a B4 and a pre-B2.

 One more thing; setting autostart_enabled back to 1 if it was 0 doesn't
 make it start working.
