 Hm.  I'm not sure I agree.  We already make a point of not attempting to
 guess what data is
 contained in there (unlike sparc64 for example, whose openpromfs attempts
 to turn properties into NULL terminated strings).  I think a newline is
 acceptable for something that is most likely going to be cat'd.  I'm
 certainly willing to be convinced otherwise, but keep in mind that I'm
 looking for a policy that makes sense for all architectures, not just
 OLPC.
