 You might be right.  :)  GIT HEAD ohm's now in build499, which you could
 download and try out on a laptop.  It doesn't seem to start automatically,
 and once started doesn't seem to be responding to the new events -- lsohm
 shows button.{lid,tablet,power} all at 0, regardless of the hardware
 state.  I checked whether the lid/ebook events are going over lshal
 --monitor correctly; they are.
