 _CHARGING_PROP (battery.rechargeable.is_charging) and _DISCHARGING_PROP
 (battery.rechargeable.is_discharging) are not in the latest HAL package.

 The calls which read these are in sugar/shell/model/devices/battery.py

  For robustness we should wrap calls to HAL in try/except blocks so at
 least sugar will start up.
