#2021: Text fields need placeholder support

The design for text fields includes a placeholder parameter, which places
a line of descriptive text inside the text field (in gray), indicating
it's purpose eg. "Search journal", "Title", "Your name", etc. This allows
developers to omit labels, which take up a lot of valuable screen space,
in places where the value of the textfield can clearly indicate it's
purpose once the placeholder is no longer visible. We really need this in
order to make the interfaces discoverable.

Also, search fields should of course have the embedded search icon to
 further distinguish them.
