 The tray in the Journal doesn't actually serve a purpose unless there are
 external devices attached.  (That may not be true in the future, if we
 provide options such as offering a full reformat of the NAND...)  For now,
 it should remain invisible, giving all available space to the entries
 themselves unless a device is attached and an interface for switching
 between them becomes necessary.
