Comment:

 Either Avahi is restarting in a loop, or this is an unreported dbus-python
 bug (watch_name_owner() watching all names rather than just the one you
 want) which I found and fixed in 0.82.0. Is this bug reproducible?

 If dbus-python is >= 0.82.0 (i.e. watch_name_owner() works, and Avahi
 really is continually respawning) it'd be interesting to see *why* Avahi
 is restarting - it should be in syslog, I think?

 PS ought to have more intelligent retry behaviour in any case.
