Comment:

 Damn.  So the working assumption is that we have occasional bit rot on PCI
 writes ?

 Can we have more identifying information about the affected laptop (serial
 num.,
 model B2-?, etc.)

 As the PCI interface was redone for B3, in particular the bus master for
 writes to the CaFE is different silicon and the layout also changed, I
 suggest ensuring that we do enough testing to verify that this is not a
 problem on B3 and B4 machines, and listing this as a possible weak spot on
 B2s.
