Mitch Bradley's OFW test program for the touch pad shows good behavior
(on a particular touch pad), with good absolute position information. Alps
has demonstrated to me personally that our touchpad does include pressure
 sensing using a Windows

When booted into Linux, the same touchpad is showing bad behavior under
 the same circumstances.

Possible theory: the pressure information may not be being properly masked
off, causing strange coordinates to appear and jerky behavior in Linux.
