 Required:
 * touchscreen (several methods are currently under investigation)
 including optical, capacitive, pressure sensitive, wifi use, and so forth.

 Optional:
 * change white LEDs to RGB LEDs to improve color gamut

 Reach Goal (supposed to be Gen2, but perhaps can be moved up):
 * remove polarizers by using opto-electronic modes that work without
 polarization, impact is both in cost reducation(TBD, possibly ~20-30%),
 power consumption reducation (2-3X) and improvement in reflectivity (also
 2-3X).  Do this while perserving video rate function, color in
 transmission mode, and high resolution.
