 Yes, it seems like both the browser and the console use up all the key
 down events.  This affects, for instance, deleting text in this text box,
 making mouse selection followed by a single 'delete' press a more pleasant
 method than holding down the delete key.

 I'm not sure what exactly happens when an application 'doesn't keep up',
 but they should stop interpreting the key down events once there has been
 a key up.
