Comment (by Nat):

 I just asked marco to change the levels for the volume slider, third
 button will be at 80 now which should be more realistic considering the
 curve seems exponential.  Until I can test with a Btest2 for the
 microphone, the asound.state seems correct unless someone as some
 sugestions.
