Comment:

 Investigating this with xwininfo it appears that the Etoys X window was
 actually resized to 900x1200. However, the Squeak VM does not seem to
 notice. Is it possible that screen rotation does not generate a proper
 XConfigureEvent?

 As additional datapoint: when starting Etoys in 90 degree rotated mode,
 the window size is correct. However, there is a ca. 20 pixel offset
 between where the mouse pointer appears to be and where mouse events is
 delivered.
