 One of the changes to GTK+ is to have a setting where text cursors stop
 flashing after a short period.

 It would be very good for abiword to do likewise.

 We are trying to avoid gratuitous timer wakeups of the CPU, and with DCON
 mode, we may even be turning the CPU off behind abiword's back.
