 Currently the service types being registered with Avahi are invalid, they
 are restricted to 14 (FOURTEEN) characters, for example
 _ChatActivity_laptop_org is 24 characters.

 My suggestion is to make use of say, _olpc._tcp and use sub-types, which
 allows for up to 63 characters so we could have up to 53 characters for
 the application-specific ID.
