 Can you do two things for me?  When you've booted up and the light is lit:

 1) Press and hold Ctl+Alt, then press F1 (top row, to the right of the
 "eye/lips" key).  This will bring you to a console
 2) type 'root' to log in as root
 3) type 'grep 1286 /proc/bus/usb/devices'
 4) copy that line into this bug report
 5) type 'iwconfig'
 6) You should see a bunch of lines, I need the text after "ESSID:" and the
 text after "Access Point:"
