Comment:

 duncanb: without this data, I'm closing the bug out, at least for BTest2
 as won't fix.  It is too late to want to change the system configuration.

 If the size increment is truely small (or better yet, vmware supports some
 more reasonable nic), you can try (re)opening this bug.
