 John can we add something like this to .xinitrc:

 xset r rate 500 30

 The current default looks too low. This is what GNOME use by default.

 Also you might want to remove the CURSOR stuff from .xinitrc, it's not
 used at all.

 (For this to be effective we need the new xf86-input-evdev, see #665)
