Comment:

 This has been thoroughly outlined, at least as a first pass, in the
 [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC_Human_Interface_Guidelines#.22Hand-
 held.22_Mode HIG].  Though some evolution will no doubt occur, the purpose
 of this ticket seems already fulfilled.

 Further discussion of ideas about this topic should occur within the talk
 pages for the Handheld section of the HIG.
