 Marco,

 If you are comfortable with fixing it so the activity's icon gets used if
 no theme icon exists, I'm ok with it. I agree that the impact is high
 enough, and was objecting as much on the principle of  it being an and
 additon to current behavior rather than fixing something already
 implemented.

 I didn't quite state things properly in my response (not enough coffee,
 too early in the morning), where I said using icons from the theme when I
 meant to say using icons from the activity.

 That being said, I want to make clear that if a theme icon exists for an
 activity, it has to take precedence to any built in theme, for the
 accessibility reasons I stated.
