 To close an application I mouse over the icon and it offers be a circle of
 dots or a cross. Selecting the cross closes the application.
 Complare this to the button top third from right where I mouse on a cross
 and it shows what i eventually discovered was a menu saying shutdown. I
 had been clicking the cross to no effect and had assumed that the menu was
 a tool-tip.  Eventually removed battery.....
 I feel the use of the cross-in-circle should be consistent.
