 Would be wonderful to have an 8-direction game pad. That would work very
 well for navigating pie menus (which work best with 8 items) while in book
 mode. Ideally there should be a GTK pie menu component that knows how to
 track the game pad as well as the mouse, so programmers don't have to do
 anything special to get game pad support.
