 I'd like to make the actual icon source more explicit and to avoid looking
 up the file system every time. Here is an idea:

 - In CanvasIcon replace the icon-name property with a source property.
 - Source would be a URI. For themed icons we could use theme:icon-name
 (for example theme:stock-back).
 - For convenience absolute paths without a scheme would be assumed to be
 local files.

 It should be pretty simple to implement. Current code would need to be
 fixed up, but a grep doesn't reveal that many places where this will be
 necessary.

 Gonzalo, Owen, what do you think? It would be cool to get this in btest2.
