Comment:

 This is not a bug but a feature.  For the moment, the mapping is based on
 the piano mapping.  The first row (starting at z) represent the white keys
 of the keyboard and the row above represent the black keys.  Since you get
 5 black keys per octave some keys on the keyboards are left blank to
 represent the piano mapping.
