 Fair enough.

 I'll definitely look into it.  Are there any metrics you're going to
 require in particular?

 On the topic of dependencies:  it seems reasonable to me that any
 activities that will be included on the laptop's flash (presumably, this
 includes Develop) should have their dependencies installed globally so
 they may be used by other activities, including ones that may be written
 by others in future and shared on the mesh/Internet. Since this approach
 would use up no more space on the flash that including the dependencies
 inside the included activities, it seems like a winner.  Is there
 something I'm missing here?

 By the way, {{{vim}}} does run inside Sugar reasonably well, as matchbox
 just maximises it to fill the entire display (I learned this primarily
 because Develop blew up a few times and kicked the vim process out as a
 regular X11 window, heh).  But yes, gvim's graphical functionality would
 be primarily intended for use within Develop.
