 This bug reporter is highly unlikely to be paying attention. He won't be
 back.

 The bug reporter is venting extreme frustration with two well-known
 problems. These problems have been like elephants in the kitchen, or maybe
 hiding under the living room carpet. Marvell and ALPS have both done a
 terrible job. Worse yet, neither one is cooperative in providing the
 information needed to fix things.

 I think this bug report can be closed, filed under "lessons learned".
