Comment:

 There are some good ideas here.  The design team has in fact been working
 on a completely revamped Journal UI which should, hopefully, address a
 number of these issues. Most importantly, we too recognize the absence of
 a "show starred only" filter to be a serious problem, and intend to remedy
 that with the new design.  Essentially, the "starring" an item should
 equate to "placing it in a special scrapbook." I'll keep the idea of
 multiple scrapbooks in mind in the future, should we need to introduce an
 organization concept like this.  We're hoping that tagging will provide
 this type of functionality, though, and we're working to make tagging a
 more prominent feature.

 As we are already working finishing up a new design for the Journal, I'm
 closing this ticket.  Once the new designs are mature, tickets will be
 opened for implementation.
