Comment:

 It seems hal does not identify the GS as an "input.mouse" or
 "input.tablet" device any more.  Only "input".  My guess is some
 capability bits in the kernel driver are missing.

 I was under the impression the GS worked perfectly in joyride a few months
 ago.  We must have lost some bits when we reverted and reapplied patches a
 few times.
