 evince (Read) and totem (Browse media plugins) uses gnome-vfs for both
 mime types and IO. I think they are moving or will move to Gio. Also the
 shell and the datastore use it for mime types.

 I plan to move to Gio but it's not going to happen for Update.1.

 AFAIK there is no reason activities (except Browse and Read) should be
 loading gnome-vfs, that's a bug which probably affects both startup time
 and memory.
